Calaido Resonance & Art Editions
Calaido Resonance & Art Editions is an art-based business, founded in 2007 by Madeleine Weber in Kerry, Ireland. The goal is to create visual art that will resonate with customers, according to clients’ wishes. This is accomplished through subtle harmonies of Virtual 360° Panoramas and Tours, commercial photography and graphic designs. The name "Calaido" is inspired by the kaleidoscope. The word is derived from the Greek "kalos" which is "beautiful", "eidos" meaning "shape", and "scope" for "to look at, to examine". For Madeleine, the world is like a kaleidoscope, a play of forms and shapes, mirrored in each other.
“In order to create a visually artistic representation which will project your company’s philosophy and your intended message, Calaido Resonance will provide modern visual material to communicate with your customers.”
Hi, I'm Juni, and I am the reason Madeleine gets so many fantastic photos, regardless of whatever she might tell you! I brought her with me to Ireland and I've been working like crazy ever since. We have scaled treacherous soaring mountains that are so uninhabitable that there aren't even any mountain goats there, but I lead Madeleine to spots where she gets awesome shots. We've climbed down into harsh Irish canyons and I've taken her through tangled brutish forests on islands in the wicked North Atlantic, just so I can show her the most beautiful scenes around. I've chased away belligerent Irish bears, hyenas and dragons while her back was turned... bummer that she never even saw most of them. Sometimes I think she figures I just run around and have fun. Pfffffffft....
But that's not all I do for her! 1. I run schools for pets that Madeleine has to photograph, so they know how to pretend to relax and look sweet. / 2. I'm trying to teach Madeleine better English, but... sheeeeeesh! 3. My love life: food, flowers, food, other animals, food, my Mum, food, my bunny 'Fred' (don't touch Fred... grrrrrrrrrrr), food, ocean, food, running! Love running! ...and food. / 4. I DON'T like: cuddles by old ladies and... that's about it. I hate cuddles by old ladies.
My dad is a Husky, my mum is a Terrier, so here's me a "Herrier". Watch for me on Facebook where I'll tell you all the secrets of being the happiest dog in Ireland.
x x x loves and bones (no cuddles!)
Madeleine Calaido Weber (Long Version)
Madeleine Weber is a sensitive self-sufficient person whose passion for art and for life is the energy that carries her through every day. Her main inspiration and motivation lie in the many forms of beauty offered by Mother Nature. "To have received the skills I have, and to live in the heart of nature, make me feel blessed by life. I am always happy when someone finds a moment of peace, beauty and inspiration from the unique plays of form and light captured in my images, because that is the heart and essence of my art!”
Living in the surreal beauty of coastal Ireland, Madeleine’s artistic creativity has been flowing non-stop, and any viewer of her world will instantly recognize both her passion and talent. “I've lived here for five years, and am a self-employed graphic designer and photographer... I just wake up every day and LOVE what I see and feel!” Madeleine has travelled in South-East Asia, South America and throughout Europe. A few years ago, she found a home in the county of Kerry, Ireland. From there she has developed her skills and her love of art into a unique high-tech photo service under the business name Calaido Resonance. She is living the dream.
Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Madeleine’s earliest memories are from time spent on her grandmother’s farm. Finding peace and acceptance when surrounded by nature and animals, is a trait that remains strong in her today. “I am fascinated and deeply touched by nature; it is my best friend and my home. I dedicate my life to the beauty, harmony and peace of it.” The artist within her has allowed her to see details that pass by most people, especially the role of light. “I am an observer of the ever-changing relationships between light, shapes and movements,” she says. Indeed, she becomes immersed in her work, whether she is painting, using the camera, or studying a setting for her panorama projects. At times like this she lets her artistic intuition take over, rather than trying to scientifically or systematically analyse a scene.
Madeleine credits her art teacher, Barbara Ehnold Danailov, with awakening the artist inside her, and says that the gift of a camera from her parents suddenly opened a door to the world of photography. “I found a way to capture the beauty of my environment and inside myself.” Making art became her life as she went on to studies in Graphic Design & Photography.
For Madeleine, art is far more than merely something she does. There is a significant spiritual aspect in it for her. “I am fascinated and deeply touched by nature. Nature is my best friend and my home. I dedicate my life to the beauty, harmony and peace of it. I am an observer of the ever-changing relationships between light, shapes and movements… those endless circles of enfolding and overlapping. Photography, design and art are my ways to express and collect those aesthetic moments and to bring it into a form which everybody can join. When I create the paintings or the photographs, I am ‘right here, in the NOW’. I am filled with gratitude and inspiration and I don't get tired of watching the changes of lights... moment by moment, so unique, eternal in the now, and never seen again in the future.”
